You don't really explain the scenario at all, but this line indicates that the address is either misspelled or does not exist: .AOLWebSuite .AOLPicturesFullSizeLink {height:1px;width:1px;overflow:hidden;} Stephen Y wrote: Action: failedStatus: 5.1.1Remote-MTA: DNS; mail.domain.comDiagnostic-Code: SMTP; 550 <usermailto:user@domain.com"><FONT< A> color=#013da4>@domain.com>: Recipient address rejected: does not exist

Please allow me to explain. These email accounts that are already set up and have been working fine for over a year. When a business contact sends mail to them, he gets that message. I double checked the spelling in AD, under their smtp and they match. I did create another smtp first.last@domain.com and it came through which had me tripple check the spelling inside my server and where the outside person was emailing to.

Despite the triple-check you mention, i'd bet its still something simple the user is doing wrong. You can turn on protocol logging on your exchange server to get more detail. the ndr doesn't contain enough info.

While I can't declare you the winner yet, you gave me a direction. Thank You. I created my own YAHOO Email account and was able to send fine. I relayed this to the other party suggesting he delete the errored address from his dist groups, contact list and address book then re-try. I'm waiting for a responce.

I have a similar problem. Except it happens randomly. A user will send e-mail to the owners wife at her MSN account and there will be an exchange of replies. After 2 or 3 replies the MSN sender will recieve the 550 error. Any ideas.
